Mooring Permit: This seasonal permit is for all resident and non-resident mooring holders in the Ipswich waterways. The cost of the permit is $8.00 per foot.

Mooring Permits Locations:
- Town Dinghy Dock: This is for Seasonal Vessels 13ft. or smaller on the town dinghy dock. The fee for this permit is $100.00 per season.

- IBYC Dock: This Seasonal permit is for vessels 10ft. or smaller on the IBYC Dock. YOU MUST BE AN IBYC BOATING MEMBER TO APPLY FOR THIS LOCATION. The fee for this permit is $100.00 per season.

- Little Neck Dock: This Seasonal Permit is for vessels 13ft. or smaller on the Little Neck Dinghy Dock. YOU MUST BE A LITTLE NECK RESIDENT TO APPLY FOR THIS LOCATION. The fee for this permit is $100.00 per season.

Mooring Wait List: Wait List Applications are for persons who do not currently have a mooring permit to moor a vessel in the Ipswich waterways. An approved “moored vessel” is any vessel secured with approved bottom anchors and tackle. There is a $10.00 annual fee to be on this Wait List.

* PLEASE NOTE* When you first Apply for a Mooring Permit, you will be asked to choose a Location and you will then be put onto a Wait List. The Location that you choose when you apply, will be the Location that you are assigned to when you are offered a Mooring. When you Renew your Wait List Application annually, you will NOT be able to change the Location.

Private Docks: This Seasonal permit is for private docks affixed to the home owner’s private property. The fee for this permit is $100.00.

Mooring Docks: This Seasonal permit is for docks affixed to a private mooring. Mooring docks will only be approved for moorings in the middle and upper river. The fee for this permit is $100.00 per season.

Private Dock Boats: This Seasonal permit is for boats that are affixed to a private dock. The fee for this permit is $8.00 per foot.
